Our Presenters:
Kaycee Rogers is a lifelong teacher, learner, and lover of language. She graduated from Luther College as an Elementary Education major with certifications in ESL, Spanish, and Reading. After mentoring several stellar student teachers, Kaycee pursued a Master’s degree in Professional Development from UW La Crosse. Now, Kaycee serves as a CLASS program coordinator here at CESA 2, continuing to work with teachers pursuing teacher licensure across the state of Wisconsin. In addition, she is a PhD candidate in Curriculum and Instruction at UW Madison. Kaycee is researching the identity, agency, and positionality of rural ESL teachers and how schools and communities could better support them to do the important work of teaching rural multilingual learners.
Jill Sharp is our CLASS Program Coordinator for Special Education. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Special Education at UW-Stevens Point and her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at Marian University. Her previous roles include being a Special Education Teacher at the School District of Cambridge and Clintonville School District. She’s also served as an Alternative Education Teacher at Clintonville School District, Assistant High School Principal and District At-Risk Coordinator at Shawano Community Schools, and High School Principal at Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District. Most recently, she served as Assistant Director for the Wisconsin RtI Center, grant-funded through the Department of Public Instruction.
Tere Masiarchin is the Senior Director of the Licensing, Evaluation & Support Center of Excellence. In 2008, Tere began working at CESAs to support school staff and school systems with language, culture, and educator preparation programs by creating curriculum, supervising teacher candidates, working with cooperating teachers, and creating additional DPI-approved licensure programs. In 2022, she became the Senior Director of the new Licensing, Evaluation, & Support Center and the engaging WI teaching licensure program, CLASS. Tere completed her Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Minnesota-Mankato in 1999 and began her career teaching Multilingual Learners. She later earned her K-12 Administrator and Curriculum Licenses from Marion University.
