About this Event: Are you looking for ways to ensure multilingual learners can meet the same challenging content standards as their English-proficient peers? Teachers will engage in opportunities to read, discuss, and reflect on the language of their content standards aligned to the English Language Development Standards. They will also co-plan for using language to make meaning, co-assess for content and language, and determine instructional strategies to support content and language development for all students.

NOTE: Participants will need to purchase the texts on their own:
• Gibbons, P. (2015). Scaffolding Language Scaffolding Learning: Teaching English in the Mainstream Classroom. Heinemann.
• Honigsfeld, A. and Dove, M. (2017). Co-Teaching for English Learners. Corwin.
• WIDA ELD Standards 2020 Framework
