About this event: This 1 day training helps participants review key concepts of their Universal WiMLSS-Behavior system (PBIS) and consider system enhancements and revisions to help meet the needs of ALL students. This training is designed specifically for buildings with previous training experience and at least some implementation of Tier 1 Behavior supports.

About the Presenters:

Kris Statz holds a Master of Science in Education, along with credentials as a Reading Teacher, Reading Specialist, and licensure in Cross-Categorical Special Education for students from kindergarten through age 21. She currently serves as an WiMLSS Coach and Literacy Consultant at CESA 2.

Before joining CESA 2, Kris gained extensive experience as a special education teacher, instructional coach, and district reading specialist. In her literacy work, she is certified as a LETRS Local Facilitator, Keys to Beginning Reading Facilitator and Keys to Early Writing Facilitator.

Kris is deeply committed to ensuring comprehensive access to education for all learners. Throughout her career, she has focused on empowering both students and educators by implementing and practicing evidence-based literacy strategies, and fostering opportunities for growth and success.

 

Deidra Gorman serves as the Senior Director of Behavior and Mental Health, a School Improvement Consultant, and a WiMLSS Coach for CESA 2. Prior to this role, she worked with the Wisconsin RtI Center as a Technical Assistance Coordinator/MLSS Systems Coach. A systems thinker with a background in Implementation Science, Deidra is committed to partnering with school districts on continuous improvement efforts that remove barriers and support all students.
