About this Event: Implementing an equitable multi-level system of supports means providing equitable services, practices, and resources to every learner based upon responsiveness to effective instruction and intervention. School and district leadership teams are invited to participate in this interactive day of learning where teams will develop a shared understanding of Wisconsin’s Framework for Equitable Multi-Level Systems of Supports and map the current reality of their school/district’s implementation of an EMLSS framework for behavior, reading, and/or mathematics.

Our Presenters:
Deidra Gorman joined CESA 2 as an E-MLSS Consultant/Coach in 2023. Before this role, she worked for the Wisconsin RtI Center as a Technical Assistance Coordinator/EMLSS Systems Coach. Prior to that, she served as the Student Services & Equity Coordinator at the Monona Grove School District and also has 18 years of experience as a teacher. Deidra is committed to educational equity, and is a systems thinker with experience in Implementation Science. She is dedicated to supporting school districts in equity centered continuous improvement.
Kris Statz has a M.S. in Education, a Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist license along with Cross Categorical Special Education licensing from K-age 21. She is an EMLSS Coach as well as a Literacy Consultant and prior to joining CESA 2 has served as a special education teacher, instructional coach and district reading specialist. As part of her work in the area of literacy she is also a LETRS Local Certified Facilitator and Keys to Beginning Reading Facilitator. Kris is dedicated to supporting all students through an equitable and systems wide lens and ensuring all learners experience success.
