About the Presenters:
Dr. Mike Trimberger, Superintendent, Random Lake School District, WI
Mike Trimberger serves as the District Administrator for the Random Lake School District in Wisconsin and chairs the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Career Readiness Standards committee. With a passionate commitment to preparing students for future success, Mike leads initiatives that bridge the gap between education and career readiness. His leadership role in developing and implementing Wisconsin's Career Readiness Standards has helped shape the state's approach to career education and workforce development.
Mike's dedication to educational innovation and career readiness has made him a respected voice in Wisconsin's education community. Under his guidance, Random Lake School District has implemented comprehensive career exploration programs and developed strong partnerships with local businesses and industry leaders. His collaborative approach to leadership and commitment to student success continues to influence career readiness initiatives across the state.
Mike Snowberry, Director of Learning Services, Luxemburg-Casco School District, WI
Mike Snowberry serves as the District Administrator at Luxemburg-Casco School District in Wisconsin, where he has been a driving force behind innovative career readiness initiatives and youth apprenticeship programs. Under his leadership, Luxemburg-Casco has become recognized as a model district for career and technical education, particularly through the development of their comprehensive youth apprenticeship program.
Under his guidance, Luxemburg-Casco has significantly expanded its youth apprenticeship program, offering students hands-on experience in various career fields while earning both high school and college credits. This program has become a model for other districts looking to enhance their career readiness initiatives and build stronger connections with local industry.
Dan Gonzalez, Co-Founder & CEO, District C, NC
Dan, a former high school physics teacher, is currently the CEO of District C, a non-profit organization in North Carolina. The organization supports school districts in connecting work-based learning to the business community through a process called Teamship. This reimagined experience allows students to solve real problems for real businesses. Dan's past experiences and creative thinking brought this concept to life, allowing District C to redefine the internship experience for students, better preparing them for the modern workforce.
Megan is a classicist turned career technical education (CTE) enthusiast. She studied Latin and classical traditions at Princeton University. Believing in the power of education and driven by a desire for all students to have access to great learning opportunities, she completed a Master of Science in English Education from Syracuse University and has taught in middle and high schools in rural, suburban, and urban districts. Before joining NAF, Megan gained extensive experience by partnering with NAF on the district's design team at Elizabeth Public Schools in New Jersey. Her roles included serving as the Language Arts coach overseeing cross-curricular, business-themed instruction in her school’s Academy of Finance (AOF), vice principal of the school’s AOF, which achieved NAF model status, and principal where she opened Elizabeth’s 7th public high school as a whole school AOF program that shortly after became a Distinguished AOF.
Ethan Wiechmann, Cedar Falls, IA
Ethan is an experienced director with a proven track record in the primary/secondary education industry. He excels in staff development, educational leadership, strategic planning, and teaching and learning. Currently, Ethan serves as the director of Cedar Falls CAPS at Cedar Falls School District, overseeing an innovative professional and workforce development program for high school students. Through his efforts, Ethan has enhanced student engagement in career work-based learning using a Design Sprint concept. This approach allows students to apply problem-solving and profession-based experience to real-world situations. Ethan's forward-thinking initiatives have positioned the Cedar Falls CAPS program as a pioneering model within the US.
Scott Carr, Career, Community, & Life Readiness Consultant, CESA 2 & Conference Coordinator
Scott joins CESA 2 to assist districts with student readiness. Previously, Scott was a coordinator with CESA 7 and supported districts in the state within the area of Redefining Ready. As a part of this work, Scott brought innovative opportunities to districts in all areas of career and life readiness, along with assisting districts in redefining student success. In addition, Scott brought a high level of experience with Academic and Career Planning, which included portrait of a graduate, graduation options, career pathways, and realigning CTE programming. Scott’s passion for career and college readiness has led to the development of high school pathways that meet the needs of all students. Scott has a MA in Special Education, Educational Leadership and Instruction & Curriculum.
