About this Event: The goal of this network is to promote sharing and connect around literacy. Hot topics in literacy will be presented monthly as well as instructional coaching tips and resources worth sharing. A focus area this school year will be around the components of Act 20. This is your opportunity to learn from one another and keep up with everything literacy related in the state of Wisconsin!

About the Presenters:

Nicole Aldworth is the Statewide Early Literacy Coordinator for the Early Learning Technical Assistance and Implementation Grant. She is also an Early Learning Consultant at CESA2. She has over 20 years of experience working with young children and their families as well as supporting educators to increase their capacity and instructional practices. Nicole spent most of her career teaching Early Childhood Special Education, 4K, and 5K. She holds degrees in the field of early childhood education and special education. Providing rich, engaging, and meaningful learning opportunities in a developmentally appropriate manner for all children is a passion of hers, along with coaching and support of those working with young children.

 

Kris Statz has a M.S. in Education, a Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist license along with Cross Categorical Special Education licensing from K-age 21. She is a LETRS Local Certified Facilitator, Keys to Beginning Reading Level 1 Facilitator, and has completed Top Ten Tools and AIMS Pathways to Literacy Leadership (all listed as required reading training through Act 20/ CERI).

 

 

Kim Stieber-White joins CESA 2 with deep knowledge and experience in Social Justice, Technology and Literacy.  Her experience in schools spans urban, suburban, and rural settings and includes classroom English Language Arts, Reading Specialist, Library Media Specialist, Technology Integrator, and Instructional Coach.  Kim is in the process of completing a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis with a focus on Literacy and Equity.
