About this event: The goal of this event is to promote sharing and networking around mathematics. We will engage in a book study of the Proactive Mathematics Coaching Framework, share instructional coaching resources and strategies, as well as sharing hot topics in mathematics. This is your opportunity to learn from one another and keep up with everything mathematics in the state of Wisconsin!

Our Presenters:
Matt Hayden joins CESA 2 as a Math Consultant and Instructional Coach. For the past seven years, Matt has served the Monona Grove School District as a 4K-12 Math Instructional Coach, Math Curriculum Leader, Equity Team Leader, and Equity Team School Liaison. Prior to his work in Monona Grove, he served the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District as a math and science teacher at the middle school level. Matt brings extensive expertise in co-teaching, as well as the co-plan to co-serve model. He received his bachelor's degree in horticulture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a certificate in K-8 General Teaching with a Science Minor from Cardinal Stritch University, a certificate in K-8 Math from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Master of Arts in Education degree from Cardinal Stritch University. He firmly believes that co-planning to co-serve is a process that can transform education for all students.
Molly Rilling joins CESA 2 as a Math Consultant and Instructional Coach. She has a background in secondary math and social studies working as a 7th Grade math and social studies teacher at Westby Area Middle School, and later as a math teacher at La Crosse Logan High School and Monona Grove High School. More recently, Molly was the Instructional Coach at Monona Grove High School and a Secondary Mathematics Coach for the Monona Grove School District. While working in different roles, Molly has participated in various building-level systems and site-based leadership teams as an AVID Coordinator, PBIS Tier I Coach, ICS for Equity, Technology Lead, and Culture and Climate team member. In 2020, Molly furthered her studies in education and completed her Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis as a member of the K-12 Leadership for Social Justice Cohort at UW-Madison where she also attained her Administration and Director of C&I licenses. Through this program, she learned she truly has a passion for equity work as it relates to systems analysis, data collection, and implementation.
