About this event: The Act 20 Leadership Institute fulfills Act 20 training guidelines for leaders beginning K-3 leadership roles this school year. It is also open to any other leaders seeking guidance and support in analyzing and refining Act 20 implementation from the previous year. The institute is a multi-session professional learning opportunity featuring a combination of asynchronous convenience and in-person cross district collaboration. It equips participants with knowledge, tools, and strategies offering guidance on building sustainable literacy initiatives through systems thinking and change management, to ensure leaders are prepared to guide local implementation with clarity and confidence.
Registration to the Act 20 Leadership Institute also includes complimentary: 1-hour coaching session and registration for one of CESA 2's literacy networks (Act 20 Literacy Leaders Community-of-Practice or Literacy Network)

Our Presenters:
Latricia Johnson serves as Senior Director for the Systems for Inclusive Learning Center for CESA 2. She has worked in Milwaukee Public Schools, the School District of Beloit, and West Allis/West Milwaukee School Districts. In her 30+ years of experience, she has served in various educational roles: District School Improvement Coordinator, Director of Teaching and Learning, Professional Development Registrar, District Curriculum Generalist, District English Language Arts Coordinator, Principal, Literacy Coach, and teacher. She also works as an Adjunct Professional at Alverno College in the Business Department. She has extensive experience providing educational leadership support services that focus on planning and developing frameworks, models, and implementation strategies that support equity for all children. She has impacted change through refining tools to support transformational work to deepen the change in professional learning and instruction. She finds it gratifying to provide direction, leadership, and continuity of programs that enhance the educational, personal career, and social development of children (PK – 12) in a culturally relevant way.
Kim Stieber-White, Ph.D joins CESA 2 with deep knowledge and experience in Social Justice, Technology and Literacy. Her experience in schools spans urban, suburban, and rural settings and includes classroom English Language Arts, Reading Specialist, Library Media Specialist, Technology Integrator, and Instructional Coach. Kim recently completed a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis with a focus on literacy and equity.
