Our Presenters:

Autumn Garza, President & CEO of Attainment Company, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with concentrations in Spanish, International Business, and Latin American Studies. Coming from a family of educators, she developed an early appreciation for the transformative power of education and its impact on students, families, and communities. Autumn joined Attainment Company in 2006, where she specialized in training educators on a new line of research-based literacy curricula developed in collaboration with the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her passion for supporting educators, commitment to students with diverse learning needs, and dedication to Attainment’s mission quickly distinguished her as a leader within the organization.

In 2016, Don Bastian, founder and CEO of Attainment Company, appointed Autumn as President. In this role, she provided strategic leadership while overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations, earning the respect of colleagues and customers alike through her collaborative approach, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to quality.

In 2022, Autumn was named CEO of Attainment Company. Today, she continues to play a dual role as President and CEO, guiding the company’s vision and growth while remaining deeply involved in product development, sales, and customer engagement. Her leadership spans Attainment’s full portfolio of products and services, including AAC solutions such as GoTalks and apps, evidence-based curricula, transition resources, and professional development designed to support educators and learners around the world.

 

 

Jen Townsend joins CESA 2 as an Implementation Specialist. Jen has deep expertise in Social Emotional Learning Differences including Autism Spectrum Disorders. She works in collaboration with school districts to build capacity for educating all learners through professional development, coaching, systems change and personal reflections to support this success. Jen has a Master’s in Education from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and received a postgraduate certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder from Johns Hopkins University. She holds a special educator license in Wisconsin and has completed coursework for her Director of Special Education and Pupil Services license and has extensive certifications in methodologies used to promote success for individuals with social learning differences.
