May 5, 2026 - 8:30 to 10:00 - The Roadmap for School Mental Health Improvement

This session introduces the Roadmap for School Mental Health Improvement, part 3 of CESA 2’s series on Wisconsin’s vision for a Comprehensive School Mental Health System. Informed by the CDC’s Community Change Process and principles of improvement science, the Roadmap outlines five steps to guide continuous improvement: commitment, assessment, planning, implementation, and reflection. Participants will explore how the Roadmap connects to the Wisconsin School Mental Health Framework while identifying practical tools to support each step. Throughout the session, an equity-centered lens will be applied to strengthen system design and impact. Join us for this 90-minute virtual learning experience.

May 5, 2026 - 10:30 to 12:00 - Create Environments for all to Flourish; Six Research-Based Elements of Wellbeing in Schools

Mental Health Promotion is about building positive relationships and creating safe, supportive, welcoming schools. In this 90-minute virtual session, participants will explore the PERMAH framework, grounded in the work of Dr. Martin Seligman (UPENN Positive Psychology Center), as a lens for strengthening the conditions that support both staff and student wellbeing. Participants will engage with the six elements of Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishment, and Health, while considering how these show up across universal practices. The session will emphasize building shared understanding, promoting flourishing, and strengthening the knowledge and skills needed to reduce stigma and support wellbeing in everyday contexts. Through reflection and discussion, participants will consider opportunities to create more connected, proactive systems where wellbeing is integrated into daily practice and where both staff and students can thrive. This session is designed for student services professionals and school or district leaders seeking to strengthen coherence across their system of supports.
